Although most of us aren’t fortunate enough to be sheltering-in-place with our families right now, there are still a lot of reasons to take advantage of family-style meals. For starters, it’s a great way to stock up on leftovers and have some meals already prepped for the week, plus it’s a great way to continue to support local businesses that need the support now more than ever.
Kochi, a Korean skewer restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, has turned its tasting menu into a family feast, and we love digging into it. Kochi’s family kit includes five entrees, bulgogi, spicy pork, spicy chicken, grilled mackerel, and fried chicken, which can be cooked by the restaurant or at home — six sides, two soups, rice, and kimchi ($150). Meal kits are available for pre-order through their website. If you’re looking for a smaller portion feast they are also offering a family meal kit for 2-3 people — 2 entrees (Bulgogi, spicy Chicken), 3 side dishes, 1 soup, 2 rice & kimchi ($75).
