If you’re looking for a little day trip to soak in some fresh air and greenery, we recommend visiting the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy in Yonkers! Untermyer Gardens is a 46 acre former estate that is now a public garden. Open seven days a week it includes multiple garden areas including a Walled Garden, a grand Vista, a Ruin Garden, the Temple of Love, a Rhododendron Walk and a Rock and Stream Garden. Walking around this oasis immediately transports you out of the city and into a fairytale.
Between now and Friday, December 11, Untermyer Park and Gardens opens at 7am, and closes an hour before sunset every day. No reservation required and free of charge!
